BIOGRAPHY
From a first fiberglass handbag to the runways of New York
Born in El Salvador in 1993, Margarita Cornejo brought her passion for design to life while studying Artisanal Product Design and Fashion. With the support of government programs and diploma courses, she refined her entrepreneurial skills and deepened her commitment to local master artisans.
2014
She begins her entrepreneurial journey with the creation of her first fiberglass handbag, marking the beginning of her registered brand.
2018
She participates in New York Fashion Week representing El Salvador, with a style enriched by geometry and architectural inspiration.
2022
She presents a new collection at New York Fashion Week and joins the Fashion Designers of Latin America platform, strengthening her commitment to innovation.
2024
Margarita Cornejo was invited by the British Embassy in El Salvador as a speaker for “Women Who Inspire,” sharing her experience and journey as a Salvadoran designer.
2025
Margarita Cornejo was invited by El Salvador’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of El Salvador in Argentina to represent the country at “Latinoamérica te viste” in Buenos Aires.
2026
Margarita Cornejo collaborated with Porsche at PasarelArt, a platform by Pi Creative House that presents design as art and brings international brands together with Salvadoran talent.
Margarita Cornejo took part in the first Kalvin Love Collection Fashion Show, held at the iconic Snoop Dogg Compound, bringing Salvadoran design to a new international stage.
